A film version of West End play Ghost Stories will go into production next year, co-writer Andy Nyman has revealed.

Nyman, currently starring in the West End transfer of Hangmen, told The Stage that the film of the play would be directed by himself and co-writer Jeremy Dyson. Nyman, who was part of the original cast of Ghost Stories, will also star in the film version.

Ghost Stories first ran at the Liverpool Playhouse in 2010 before moving to the Lyric Hammersmith. It transferred to the West End’s Duke of York’s and has had a subsequent run at the Arts Theatre in London.

Nyman said the show was currently running in Lima, and added: “It just keeps on going.”
